Draft System
Understand Snake, Auction, and Salary Cap drafts
Snake Draft
The most common draft format. Teams take turns selecting bowlers in a serpentine order.
How it works:
- Round 1: Teams pick in order (1, 2, 3...)
- Round 2: Teams pick in reverse order (...3, 2, 1)
- Round 3: Teams pick in order again (1, 2, 3...)
- Pattern continues for all rounds
This format ensures fairness by giving later draft positions an advantage in alternating rounds.
Auction Draft
A dynamic draft where bowlers are auctioned to the highest bidder.
How it works:
- Each team starts with a budget
- Bowlers are nominated one at a time
- Teams bid on each bowler
- Highest bidder wins the bowler
- Continue until all bowlers are drafted
Strategy is key - decide which bowlers are worth your budget.
Salary Cap Draft
Similar to auction, but with pre-assigned salary values for each bowler.
How it works:
- Each bowler has a pre-set salary
- Teams have a total salary cap
- Draft bowlers within your cap
- Can't exceed total budget
- Strategy: balance star players with depth
4 salary cap formulas available: Linear, Exponential, Tiered, and Custom.
